NWTF Great Lakes Open Turkey Call Making Competition

The Great Lakes Open Turkey Call Making Competition, was started to
preserve the history and tradition of custom, handmade Turkey calls and
those who make them throughout the United States. This competition brings
the best Callmakers and custom Turkey calls you will ever find. Each call is
one of a kind and handmade, built with the pride and passion by the ones who
make them. The purpose of the competition is to select the most consistent,
user friendly and best sounding calls. This competition will determine each
call's stand-alone merit of how well it sounds and performs in the hands of
the hunter.

The Great Lakes Open Call Making Competition is presented to you by NWTF
Waupaca Longbeards Chapter.

The judges of this competition will be a qualified panel of experienced
hunters who grade each call on the prescribed criteria. There are two
divisions the calls will compete in along with several categories in each.
The Hunting Call competition has 18 categories of calls including a youth
category. These calls are 100% turkey, built with the tradition of hunting
in mind. The Decorative Hunting Call competition has 5 categories of calls
also including a youth category. These calls allow the Callmaker to showcase
their creative side. Even though this calls are beautiful works of art, they
are still made with hunting mind.

Please note that this is not a contest to determine who is the best turkey
caller, rather it is a contest to determine the best turkey  call in both
sound and hunting ability for each specific category. First place through
fifth place awards will be given in each category as well as Best of Class ,
Best of Show and People’s Choice.

All entries will be sold on eBay with the title “Great Lakes Open Call
Making Comp”.  The Call Makers name and photos of calls will be listed along
with a description of the call and any awards won.
