Al has been a proud NWTF Life Member for 35 years and is a true outdoorsman at heart — an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper.
Through the Gateway Gobblers chapter in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, he has worn just about every hat, serving as secretary, treasurer, vice president, and president, and now continues his leadership at the state level as Conservation Seed Committee Lead, Vice President, and President (2024–2026). Many know him as “Captain Al” for the fishing trips he volunteers to help raise funds for NWTF, and whether in his career in sales or in the field, he’s always looking for ways to give back and support the mission.

They both have a love and passion for the outdoors that has been welcomed by all of our NWTF family! Our local chapter has recently started a Youth/Learn to Hunt for turkeys where we have partnered with the Marshall, WI Lions Club. I am proud to be part of such a great, growing organization. Diane Starling (2028)

ignited her passion to ensure future generations have the same hunting, habitat, and conservation opportunities that she has enjoyed her entire life.
Having been fortunate to retire at the end of 2022, she has been able to spend even more time outdoors doing what she loves. In addition to hunting and fishing, habitat care and development on her own property is a year-round effort.
Diane was accepted as a state board member in 2025 and has most recently been elected to the Executive Committee as Member-at-Large. She serves as the Outreach Chairman, is a Learn to Hunt mentor, and carries multiple roles with fellow board member Karen Seitz for the NWTF Chapter Summit Ridge Gobblers established in 2024.
Diane and her husband reside in rural Sauk County. They have three grown children and four grandchildren and look forward to sharing their enthusiasm and appreciation of the outdoors for years to come.

Karen Seitz (2027)
N3521 County Road G
Mauston, WI 53948
(608) 495-3389
Hi, I’m Karen Seitz! I live in Mauston, WI with my dog Velcro and cat Nome, and during the day I work from home for a health insurance company handling claims.
I got involved with the National Wild Turkey Federation shortly after graduating college when I signed up for a Learn to Hunt program with the Glacier Valley Gobblers in Sauk County. My mentor, Tyler Hasheider, convinced me turkey hunting was something special—and he was right. Hearing that first gobble echo through the woods and watching a tom strut in close changed everything. From that moment on, I was hooked.
Since then, I’ve been passionate about wild turkey conservation and the hunting heritage the NWTF supports. I’m proud to serve on the Wisconsin NWTF State Board and help organize the Summit Ridge Gobblers event with fellow board member Diane Starling. Watching it grow over the past few years has been incredibly rewarding.

Kevin Feind (2029)
11694 S. Railroad Street
Solon Springs, WI 54873
(715) 718-1018
I'm originally from Marshfield, Wisconsin, and was on the Marshfield Area Gobblers first banquet committee in the mid-1990's. In 1997, I move to Douglas County and joined the Gitchee Gumme Chapter, serving as vice president and then president for five years. I continue to be on the banquet committee, and am the coordinator of the Youth Learn to Hunt Turkey program, a position I’ve done for all 21 years of its existence.
As a career law enforcement officer, I retired in 2022 from the Wisconsin DNR as a park supervisor. In 2012, I was awarded the Wisconsin NWTF Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. One of my biggest accomplishments was to liaison between the NWTF and the WDNR to get turkeys released in 2003 in Douglas and Bayfield Counties. I was able to get the Solon Springs Elementary School students to be involved in the release.
I’ve been turkey hunting since 1989, and greatly enjoy taking new hunters out, calling for them, and teaching them the techniques I’ve learned over the years so they can continue to enjoy this bird and the sport of hunting them ethically.
Along with volunteering for the NWTF, I’ve been a hunter education instructor since 1991. I taught instructors for the National Archery in the Schools Program for several years. I serve as the Douglas County Delegate Chair for the Wisconsin Conservation Congress. I am an ordained Permanent Deacon with the Catholic Church and serve St. Anthony Parish in Superior.
My wife and I have been married for 33 years, and live in Solon Springs. I enjoy making decorative turkey box calls and elaborate charcuterie boards made from a variety of woods.
